Blockchain Bayern’s experience with campai

Introducing the association

With more than 150 members, we work to advance blockchain technology in Bavaria, Germany. We organize events and networking opportunities, often alongside other associations. I am Haris Nabil Niazi, and I have been responsible for IT since late 2022. My work includes maintaining our systems and managing our workspaces. Moving to campai was an important part of that work.

Why we changed systems

Our previous software was difficult to configure and offered little flexibility. Our treasurer, Christoph, had already had a positive experience with campai through a sailing club.

When I took over the migration, the benefits became clear. The interface and the ability to adapt our records made membership administration easier. We also appreciated an active customer community that contributes feedback on the product.

More useful member records and simpler billing

Our billing became easier and faster. Custom fields were especially useful: information that had been difficult to capture could now be added to the member record.

For example, we can record a member’s job title. That gives us more precise information about the people in our association and makes the records more useful in our daily work.

Supporting the association’s next steps

Our membership includes companies and individuals, with different levels of activity. We use networking events to meet interested people and expand the community.

campai helps us manage those relationships and communicate with members. We are also considering offering courses and workshops through the system to support further learning.

Our longer-term goals

We want blockchain to be accessible to people beyond the specialist community. That means helping people understand the technology and where it can be useful in everyday work.

Members have founded businesses and taken on public and private projects. We want to keep supporting that exchange of ideas in Bavaria, with administration that gives us time to focus on the community.
