ALBA BERLIN is known for more than its professional basketball team. Its work in the community is just as much a part of the organization.
As Community Manager, now in my fifth season with the club, I am proud that we take responsibility for the role sport can play in education and society. That is why our work with campai’s membership software and member app matters so much to me.
Our ALBA community brings together a growing number of people with different backgrounds. Keeping them connected requires a clear communication approach and a tool they can share.
Our programs include preschool activities, after-school groups, club teams, and camps, as well as opportunities for teenagers and adults. At the time of this account, more than 10,000 people participated each week. Nearly 2,500 were club members, supported by more than 150 coaches.
We began working with campai in July 2020. During the early months of the pandemic, we tested the software extensively. At a time when we were physically apart, we laid the groundwork for connecting the ALBA community through the member app.
Membership management and CRM were also important parts of our planning. We worked with campai on these areas alongside its collaboration with EVENTIM on CRM and ticketing. We can already see that campai makes our day-to-day work in the office easier. The campai member app is also going down really well with fans and members. That reassured us that, after a long search, we had made the right choice.
We look forward to continuing the work together and finding more ways to support our community in Berlin and beyond.
