MemberClicks vs. campai: Choose the AMS edition before comparing.

MemberClicks Professional and MemberClicks Trade address different association needs. An alternative search should begin with the edition you use and whether memberships belong to individuals or organizations. This report keeps that distinction visible when comparing dues, member access, events, and optional engagement products. For clubs with 1,000+ members, campai offers a stronger fit for complex operations through large-club experience, advanced features, and integrations.

campai GmbH publishes this comparison and sells one of the products being compared. It draws on product documentation, help articles, and documented campai capabilities. We did not conduct an independent hands-on test.

What matters for your shortlist

For clubs with 1,000+ members, campai is the stronger choice when your staff needs flexible member workflows, automation, and custom system integrations across departments. Its experience with large organizations supports that operational focus. First establish whether MemberClicks Professional or Trade matches your membership model, since their capabilities differ. Include organization relationships and the optional Member App in the specific configuration you compare.

Why campai is the stronger choice for clubs with 1,000+ members.

For clubs coordinating large memberships, multiple departments, and complex workflows, campai combines experience with large organizations, advanced administration features, and integrations. Your team can automate recurring work and connect the platform to the systems your club uses.

Experience with large clubs

ALBA Berlin, a basketball club in Germany, describes working with campai since 2020. At the time of its account, the club had nearly 2,500 members and more than 150 coaches. That work brings practical experience with complex club structures.

Professional and Trade require separate evaluations

MemberClicks publishes separate Professional and Trade offerings. Both list membership, events, portals, and email, while Trade also identifies advanced dues and sales management. Start with your membership structure: individual members and organization-based accounts create different requirements for records, contacts, and billing. Ask for demonstrations and a quote for the specific edition rather than combining the strongest features of the product family.

Engagement products can change the total scope

MemberClicks identifies Member App, Classroom, and CommUnity as integrated additions. The reviewed app documentation describes a separate purchase and annual billing, with connections to Trade member data and events. If these products are part of your current setup, assess their replacement or continued use separately. A core AMS price does not describe the cost of the complete member experience.

What we compared and how

We compare campai and MemberClicks across 23 selected capabilities. The selection starts with documented campai features. It is not a complete inventory of either product or a basis for an overall score.

MemberClicks Professional and Trade have different capabilities. A feature documented for one is labeled accordingly; the Member App is an optional integrated product.

  1. Define the product scope

We distinguish product editions, plans, optional modules, and external integrations. A documented feature may cost extra and may not be available on every plan.

  2. Connect claims to evidence

For the other provider, we use the linked product pages and help articles. For campai, we also use internal product documentation. The source register labels this first-party evidence; the related public product page provides additional context.

  3. Separate evidence from uncertainty

A check means the capability is documented. A dash means the exact workflow is only partly documented or could not be confirmed. It does not mean the feature is missing. A cross indicates documented unavailability.

We did not measure day-to-day usability, support response times, performance under load, or the quality of an actual migration. The research date reflects the recorded evidence review. Updating the report does not mean every source was checked again.

This comparison covers US use cases. Confirm US availability, contract currency, payment options, and the scope of each module in your proposal.

Membership structure, dues rules, and member access

The matrix emphasizes records, permissions, dues, and engagement. Professional, Trade, and optional products are not assumed to have identical capabilities; read the edition and configuration qualifications attached to each finding.

October 20, 2026 · The comparison covers selected features, including paid plans and optional modules. A gray dash means the exact capability was not fully confirmed. External partner products are distinguished from built-in features. Each symbol includes details about scope and additional costs.

More about campai and MemberClicks.

Should I compare MemberClicks Professional and Trade as one product?

No. They have distinct scopes and pricing. Identify the edition you use or plan to buy, then check each required workflow against that edition. Findings for one should not automatically be applied to the other.

Is the MemberClicks app included with every AMS plan?

The reviewed documentation treats Member App as an additional product and describes separate annual billing. Confirm compatibility, included functions, and cost for the specific AMS edition in your proposal.

What matters when an organization is the member?

Document the relationship between the organization, its individual contacts, billing contact, and renewal rights. Test how staff and member users update those records and how dues are assigned. A flat contact import may lose relationships you need.
